Morning – Bushtucker & Crabs Cruise with Tweed Eco Cruises
Head down to the river for an unforgettable cruise with Tweed Eco Cruises. Sample some bushtucker and seafood plus experience yabbie pumping, fishing and pulling up the mud crab pots.
Afternoon – Coastal Tweed Exploration
After your cruise, explore nearby highlights such as Fingal Head Lighthouse, Cabarita Beach, Farm & Co or Tropical Fruit World. Each stop offers something different, from coastal walks and swimming spots to farm experiences and local produce. Day 3 – Active Morning & Local Flavours
Morning – Ride the Northern Rivers Rail Trail
Start the day with a family bike ride along this scenic, mostly flat trail winding through farmland, tunnels and historic villages. The trail offers beautiful views of the Tweed Valley and is suitable for all ages and abilities. Bike hire is available locally, including e-bikes for an easy cruise. Stop along the way for coffee or a snack in one of the small villages dotted along the route.

Return to Potager House to freshen up before checkout, taking with you a perfect balance of river adventure, hinterland tranquillity and coastal discovery. The combination of nature, food and memorable experiences creates a family getaway that captures the essence of the Tweed.

Day 1 – Hinterland Arrival & Sunset on the River
Afternoon – Check in at Bellingdale Farm
Arrive in the lush Tweed hinterland and settle into your stay at Bellingdale Farm, a boutique farmstay set among rolling countryside with views toward Wollumbin (Mount Warning). The restored cabins offer a peaceful rural escape while still being just a short drive from the coast. Spend the afternoon wandering the farm or simply soaking up the tranquillity of the valley.
Late Afternoon – Sunset Cruise on the Tweed River
Head down to the Tweed River for a golden-hour cruise with Tweed Eco Cruises. Cruise along calm waterways as the sun sinks behind the Tweed Caldera, accompanied by live music and shared grazing boards. Keep an eye out for dolphins and birds of prey while enjoying drinks from the onboard bar.

Continue inland to Husk Distillery, Australia’s first farm-to-bottle rum distillery. Take a tour through the working sugarcane farm and distillery, then enjoy a tasting of award-winning rums or a cocktail on the lawn overlooking the cane fields.
